Hospitality and Catering
Hospitality and catering is a truly international industry providing countless employment opportunities at home and abroad. If you are in your element delivering a professional service or if you thrive in a busy kitchen being taught by trained chefs in the college’s fantastic kitchens, then PRC is an excellent starting point for your career.
A world of hospitality
By studying a hospitality and catering course with us, you will gain experience of working with real customers in a real restaurant environment, in our award winning Parcs Restaurant. This will enable you to gain the business skills necessary to progress into this industry. Our students learn these skills to go on to work in top hotels, restaurants, cruise liners, tourist attractions and events around the world.
Building a fantastic future
PRC courses span from one-day food safety courses designed for anyone wishing to work in the hospitality industry preparing and cooking food to Level 3 Advanced Professional Cookery courses and Hospitality services. Within these higher level courses students will study a range of subjects including practical elements such as carving at the table and flambé work to supervision of the restaurant, bar area and organising events throughout the academic year.
Our Parcs Restaurant is proud to be awarded Gold accreditation from the Hospitality Guild and the prestigious AA College Rosette (upgraded to Highly Commended in February 2017). Both awards have been given for quality and consistent standards of hospitality, service and cuisine. In March 2017 Parcs Restaurant maintained the Gold award and also gained the Centre of Excellence status for Food & Beverage Service.
