Personal Progression Course
This course is designed for entry-level learners focusing on enhancing social, independence, practical, and sensory skills. It offers tailor-made learning opportunities, adapting to each individual’s needs. The course employs a co-creation approach, providing learners with choices in their activities, alongside structured learning. Successful completion can lead to progression within the course or towards specific qualifications.
Employability Course
Aimed at students with additional needs aspiring to enter the workforce, this course covers essential workplace skills and knowledge. Topics include rights in the workplace, health and safety, and teamwork, supplemented by a work experience placement. This course serves as a foundation for advancing to the Supported Internship programme or other employment opportunities.
After completing a supported internship at Peterborough College, Amelia Bollons secured paid employment with the Holiday Inn. “I get the tables ready for lunchtime and sometimes it can get really busy. I look after the coffee machines, help set the tables, and bartend too!”
