Former Music Student's Pedal Business Reaches Almost Half a Million Followers On Social Media

After studying a Music course at Peterborough College, Chris Robinson founded Pedal Pawn Ltd. Pedal Pawn now boasts over 480,000 followers across YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and Facebook.

Chris Robinson achieved D*DD in a L3 Extended Diploma in Music at Peterborough College.

Chris, who started playing the guitar since 2003, has since had a series of career highlights, including; playing at Carnegie Hall in NYC, hitting No.1 spot in the iTunes blues charts and founding his own company, Pedal Pawn Ltd.

Chris comments, “Since the age of 10, I’ve obsessed over the tones of my heroes, such as Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix & John Mayer. Now I’ve set out on a mission to recreate and distribute these tones in effects pedal format to fellow guitarists all around the world.”

Whilst studying a Music course at College, Chris Robinson was awarded the accolade of being one of the top undiscovered guitarists worldwide by the acclaimed music photographer Robert Knight.

The Level 3 Music Technology course at Peterborough College delves into areas like sound recording, music production, and sound design. It offers students the opportunity to grasp the intricacies of the sound world, opening doors to a number of technical roles in the music industry.

On the other side, the Level 3 Music Performance course is designed for those who have a zeal for performing live, composing melodies, or mastering the art of musicianship. It offers a perfect blend of practical exposure and theoretical knowledge, ensuring students are stage-ready and equipped to captivate audiences.
