Peterborough College Highlights Technical Excellence and Healthcare, Business, and Education Pathways During National T Levels Week
Peterborough College, part of Inspire Education Group (IEG), is celebrating National T Levels Week by showcasing how students across Greater Peterborough are gaining real-world industry experience while preparing for university and high-skilled local careers.
Designed in direct partnership with employers, T Levels offer a two-year qualification equivalent to three A Levels. Students spend 80% of their time in classroom and technical lab environments and 20% on a substantial 45-day (315+ hour) industry placement.
At Peterborough College, T Level pathways focus on critical regional growth sectors and workforce needs across:
- Business & Administration (including Marketing)
- Education & Early Years
- Health (Adult Nursing & Specialist Clinical Routes)
- Foundation T Levels (Level 2 Transition Programmes)
With full UCAS point equivalence, where a T Level Distinction* earns 168 UCAS points, matching three A*s at A Level, graduates are securing places at top UK universities, including degree progression at University Centre Peterborough (UCP), as well as stepping directly into Higher Degree Apprenticeships.
Darcy Reynolds, an Early Years T Level student at Peterborough College who completed her placement at Parcs Nursery, shared: “Putting classroom learning into practice at Parcs Nursery gave me the skills and confidence to launch my career and progress straight to a full Education degree at UCP!”
