Peterborough College First Team Makes History with Flawless League Title Win

Peterborough College is proud to announce that its Boys’ First Football Team has been crowned league champions for the fifth consecutive year, achieving a historic perfect season that sets a new benchmark for the college’s athletic program.

In a remarkable run of dominance, the 1st Team won all 16 of their games this season. This achievement marks the first time a Peterborough College football team has completed a full campaign without a single loss or draw, finishing the year with an unblemished 100% win rate.

Securing a fifth straight trophy cements the program’s status as a powerhouse in the region. While the team has enjoyed a long run of success, this year’s squad has raised the bar by going undefeated through the entire 16-game schedule.

Sports Lecturer Ammar Qadeer said, “I am incredibly proud of the character and discipline this group has shown. Their performance on the pitch has been clinical, showing a level of focus and tactical maturity that is rare at this level. Every player stepped up when it mattered most, and seeing their hard work translate into such a dominant, flawless run is a proud moment for the entire department. I look forward to celebrating this historic success with them.” 

Following this historic 16-0 finish, the college is looking forward to celebrating the team’s hard work and dedication with the players and coaching staff at their annual Sports Awards in June.
