Peterborough College Expands Global Teaching Opportunities With Newly Qualified CELTA Team

Following the success of its newly launched Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (CELTA) course, Peterborough College is highlighting the global career pathways and expert mentorship available to local students through its newly accredited training team.

To offer the prestigious Cambridge University Assessment qualification, the college underwent a rigorous official approval process. The course is spearheaded by Dave Watkins and Sarah Pooley, who bring a wealth of advanced industry experience and a passion for developing the next generation of English language educators.

“Becoming an official CELTA centre is a huge positive for the college and the region,” said Dave Watkins, one of the CELTA lecturers. “We’ve built a highly qualified, dedicated team from the ground up. Alongside my own background, Sarah brings a high Master’s level qualification in Teaching English as a Foreign Language. We are a fresh, ambitious team, and we are already looking to expand to meet the growing demand for this qualification.”
