Peterborough College Business Students Explore Legal History at Peterborough Museum
Level 3 Access to Higher Education Business students at Peterborough College recently took their learning beyond the classroom with an immersive, hands-on visit to Peterborough Museum.
The trip offered students access to several of the museum’s key spaces, including the Norman Cross gallery, the Victorian Infirmary and the Changing Lives gallery, detailing three centuries of the city’s social and industrial evolution.
Working in small collaborative groups across these galleries, students conducted interactive fieldwork to bridge classroom theory with the real world. By gathering real evidence to analyse equal opportunities legislation, individual rights, employer duties and legal history, they gained a deeper understanding of how workplace rights and responsibilities have evolved over time.
