Peterborough College and NHS Partner to Host Mock Interviews for T Level Health Students
T Level Health (Adult Nursing) students from Peterborough College recently received a valuable boost in their career preparation thanks to an innovative partnership with Peterborough City Hospital. The NHS offered the students a mock interview experience, giving them a chance to practice their interview skills and gain valuable insights into the world of nursing.
This program wasn’t just about interview practice. Students had the opportunity to meet the hospital’s learning team and tour the wards they might be working on during their upcoming industry placements. This firsthand look at the NHS environment allowed them to gain a deeper understanding of the work culture and the diverse range of nursing specialties available.
“This NHS interview experience was an invaluable opportunity for our students,” said Lydia-Jayne Markillie, Assistant Head of Faculty for Health & Social Care. “By participating in mock interviews, they gained the confidence and skills they need to succeed in real-world job interviews. Additionally, touring the wards sparked their interest in different areas of nursing, helping them tailor their career goals for the future.”
By providing students with practical interview experience and real-world exposure, this program equips them with the knowledge and confidence to hit the ground running upon entering the workforce.
Peterborough College, part of Inspire Education Group, is committed to providing its T Level students with the best possible preparation for their chosen careers. This partnership with the NHS is a testament to that commitment and will undoubtedly benefit both the students and the healthcare system as a whole.
