Peterborough Children’s Spark Awards 2026: Inspire Education Group’s Jill Edwards Named SEND Hero
Jill Edwards from Inspire Education Group (IEG) has been recognised for her dedication to supporting young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), winning the SEND Hero Award at the Children’s Spark Awards 2026.
The awards ceremony, held on Thursday 22 October at the Peterborough Marriott Hotel, celebrated the individuals, teams and organisations making an exceptional difference to children, young people and families across Peterborough.
Jill received the SEND Hero Award in recognition of her commitment to advocating for young people with SEND, ensuring their voices are heard and helping them access the support they need to thrive in education.
Her recognition reflects the importance of championing inclusive education and ensuring that every young person has the opportunity to develop their confidence, achieve their potential and progress towards a positive future.
The Children’s Spark Awards celebrate outstanding contributions across a range of areas, including education, safeguarding, health and wellbeing, partnership working and youth voice.
Organised by Peterborough City Council, the awards brought together professionals, volunteers, community organisations, families and civic leaders to recognise those going above and beyond for children and young people across the city.
Congratulations to Jill on this well-deserved recognition and for the positive difference she continues to make to young people’s lives.
The achievement also highlights the dedication of colleagues across Inspire Education Group who work to create supportive, inclusive learning environments where students feel valued and empowered to succeed.
