Inspire Education Group and Worcester Bosch Collaborate to Support Green Technology Education

In a significant stride towards advancing education in renewable and green technology, representatives from Inspire Education Group (IEG), comprising Stamford College, Peterborough College and University Centre Peterborough, recently convened with Worcester Bosch, a renowned brand leader in heating and renewable technology. The meeting, attended by Assistant Principal for Curriculum, Gary McPartland, and Assistant Heads of Faculty, Richard Hodgett and Sean Hale, saw productive discussions with Worcester Bosch representatives Mark Durrans, Northern Training Manager, and Des Lees, Worcester Bosch Trainer.

Building upon the existing partnership between IEG and Worcester Bosch under the Worcester Bosch College Link programme, both parties have forged a collaborative agreement to equip the Centre for Green Technology, and to support Worcester Bosch representatives in their training.

The £13.5 million Centre for Green Technology is set to equip students with cutting-edge knowledge and skills in modern construction methods, emerging technologies, alternative heat sources, and electric vehicle technology. In leveraging Worcester Bosch’s expertise and resources, IEG ensures students and professionals are well-prepared for the challenges and opportunities in the ever-evolving construction landscape.

Gary McPartland expressed his enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, “It’s exciting to be working in partnership with a brand leader like Worcester Bosch in heating and hot water renewable technology.” He added , “The sentiment reflects the shared commitment of both institutions towards fostering innovation and excellence in the field of green technology education”.

Mark Durrans, Northern Training Manager, also highlighted the significance of the working relationship, sharing, “We are thrilled to partner with Inspire Education Group in establishing this flagship Centre for Green Technology. This initiative aligns with our commitment to driving innovation and sustainability in the industry.” 

The establishment of the Centre for Green Technology marks a significant milestone in the journey towards a greener and more sustainable future. Through strategic partnerships and collaborative efforts, institutions like IEG and Worcester Bosch are paving the way for a brighter tomorrow, where renewable energy solutions play a pivotal role in shaping our world.
