Fourth Monkey Host "Monkey Moves" Workshop in Collaboration with Peterborough College Performing Arts Department
Peterborough College’s Performing Arts department was thrilled to announce an exciting event in collaboration with Fourth Monkey, a renowned drama school known for its innovative approach to performance training. The “Monkey Moves” workshop, designed to inspire creativity and foster confidence in performers, took place in the Black Box (RE-006) of the Performing Arts Department.
Drawing inspiration from the techniques of Complicité, John Wright, and Lecoq, “Monkey Moves” promised an immersive experience where participants explored the depths of their creativity and enhanced their performance skills. Led by a team of emerging artistic leaders, all graduates of Fourth Monkey’s esteemed undergraduate or postgraduate programs, the workshop aimed to instil a sense of freedom and impulsivity in performance while fostering trust and confidence among participants.
During the workshop, participants had the opportunity to gain insight into drama school training at a higher education level, receive practical tools applicable to current learning and future challenges, learn techniques and tips for successful auditioning for drama school, and engage in a Q&A session to address any questions or concerns.
Peterborough College is dedicated to providing enriching experiences that empower students to excel in their artistic endeavours. The collaboration with Fourth Monkey reflected our commitment to offering top-tier training opportunities and fostering a vibrant community of performers.
