Who is it for?
This course is for students who would ultimately like to progress onto a vocational course in a mainstream college department.
The Towards Vocational course provides an entry into college for those who may initially need some support or who are unsure of which vocational path they want to follow and do not yet meet the entry requirements.
It allows students to sample different vocational subjects to see what they enjoy and attend transition sessions with other departments to ensure they are moving to the right course for them.
There is an emphasis on showcasing your willingness to achieve on a college course, build your English and maths skills, build confidence and team building.
What is covered?
A range of units from different vocational areas will be delivered in class with the additional opportunity to have taster sessions across different areas of the college to help you progress on the following year. The course will also include English, maths and independent living skills where required.

Educational trips, approximately £25 per year
Throughout the course there will be trips out into the local community and the possibility of an end of year celebration trip in June.
