On successful completion of this course at Merit and the achievement of GCSE English at grade 4/C, you can progress onto our Level 3 Creative Media Production in TV/Film/Audio or Journalism. You could also explore apprenticeship options. This can then lead into careers within the creative sector, such as TV/Film Runner, Production Assistant, Videographer, News Reporter, Social Media Assistant etc.

If you have a passion for media and want to work within the film, TV, publishing, radio industry or podcasting industries, then this course is ideal for you.

You will study three core units in this qualification:

• Exploring and developing creative media skills - creating a portfolio of work through a range of practical projects, based on a range of digital and traditional media techniques including photography, filmmaking, podcast production, animation and zines.
• Personal development - planning for your future.
• Responding to a creative brief - a major project based around developing a specific specialisation, such as filmmaking.
