Entry Pathway: Caring Professions – Early Years, Health and Social Care and Animal Care

Upon successful completion of this course, you may be able to progress to Level 1 Childcare, Level 1 Health and Social Care or Level 1 Animal Care.

This course is ideal for students who are interested in working with children and would like to explore different caring professions before choosing their next step.

You will learn about working in the early years and play activities for children, helping you understand some of the skills used when supporting children’s learning and development. As this course introduces you to a range of caring professions, you will also develop your knowledge and skills in health and social care and animal care.

This includes learning about effective communication, person-centred support, feeding and grooming animals and maintaining animal accommodation.

You will study a range of topics across early years, health and social care and animal care, giving you an introduction to different caring professions while starting with areas linked to working with children.
