Barbering Certificate Level 2

The course will be delivered within our realistic working barbering environment, providing learners with the opportunity to develop their skills in a professional and practical setting. Learners will take part in practical lessons where they will practise and develop a range of barbering techniques, allowing them to gain valuable hands-on experience.

In addition to practical sessions, weekly distance-learning homework will be set, including written and assignment-based tasks to support and reinforce the knowledge gained during the course.

Classes will be held 2 evenings per week: Wednesday and Thursday evenings – 5pm to 8pm

Assessment will take place throughout the course and will include both practical and written tasks. Practical assessments will be carried out in college during practical lessons, where learners will demonstrate their barbering skills and techniques. Learners will also be assessed through weekly homework and assignment-based tasks completed through distance learning to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of the course content.

Learners will be required to purchase the appropriate barbering uniform and equipment kit. Details of the required items and associated costs will be provided before the start of the course.

Although work experience is not a formal requirement of the course, learners are encouraged to seek employment or work opportunities within the barbering industry while completing their qualification. Gaining experience alongside their studies can be highly beneficial, helping learners to enhance their practical skills, build confidence, develop customer service skills, gain valuable industry experience, and apply the knowledge and skills developed throughout the course in a real working environment.
