This course is a practical step between GCSE study and Level 3 qualifications. If you love to draw, create visually exciting pieces of work and want to develop your knowledge and skills in other areas of art and design this course is for you.
During this course you’ll be introduced to varied other subjects such as graphics, fashion design, fine art and 3D design.

4 GCSEs at grade 3/D or above and must include English and maths. Should entry requirements not be met we are open to review an applicant’s grades/achievements on an individual basis and take into account creative ability.
Assessment will be continuous through observation and presentation of practical work and graded against specific criteria. You are also assessed through assignments and a final major project.
There may be costs involved for lockers and sketch books, gallery and exhibition trips. All learners should have a basic art kit which they can add to throughout the year. A list of recommended materials and equipment will be provided as a guide.
