If you’re looking for a career that is fulfilling, rewarding, and have a strong interest working with animals then Level 3 in Animal Management could be for you.
There are a huge range of careers you can progress onto as well as studying at higher education level. This course is also a great stepping stone onto careers such as a Trainee Veterinary Nurse zoology, grooming or supervisory roles within the animal sector.
part of this course you will have the opportunity to work with an external employer to complete 150 hours of work experience per year.
You will also demonstrate your practical skills in our high quality college based outdoor enclosures and exotic animal units. Y
You will learn about a wide range of animal related subjects including:
5 GCSEs at 4/C or above including English, maths, and science.
Your knowledge will be assessed by submission of coursework including written assignments, discussions, and video and voice recordings, some units of the course are externally set exams. Your tutor will also observe your practical skills during the sessions and horough feedback is provided to develop your skills and knowledge to industry standards.
You will be required to buy protective clothing such as safety boots, work clothes and water proof outdoor clothing. Stationery such as pens, pencils, a writing pad and folder will also be essential. Visits to relevant animal organisations will be arranged throughout your course, the total cost for entry fees and transport will be required to be paid in advance.
Full-time courses are fully funded for 16 to 19-year-olds. For age 19+, various funding options are available.
