If you have an interest in beauty therapy and hairdressing and would like to study within this sector and gain an introduction into the foundations of both of these industries then this course could be for you!
What is covered?
During this one year course you will study a range of subjects including:
- Basic manicure and pedicure
- Basic Skincare
- Face painting
- Basic make-up application.
- Basic hair techniques
- Shampooing

Students will not need any formal GCSE’s to apply to this course.
This course will be delivered over 36 weeks and is a mix of practical and theory work.
You will be assessed through practical observations and written assignments.
You will need to purchase a hair and beauty kit, which includes a uniform at approximately £400.
There will be the opportunity for work related learning within Revive reception.

Full-time courses are fully funded for 16 to 18-year-olds. For age 19+, various funding options are available.
My favourite parts of the course were the practicals: facials and massages. After an intense 315 hours in under ⅔ months, I found employment at Superdrug as a Beauty Therapist. I aspire to have my own salon, and with the great facilities here, I feel fully prepared for the future.
