Supporting Men’s Mental Health Through Movember Creativity
Inspire Education Group’s Personal Development Group Lead, Vanessa Norman, organised a vibrant Movember-inspired competition at Peterborough College.
The competition marked the close of Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month. The initiative encouraged participation from students across the college, promoting engagement, creativity, and meaningful discussion around male wellbeing and support networks.
There were a number of prizes to be won for the Largest Moustache Grown, celebrating impressive personal efforts throughout the month, and the Most Creative Moustache Design, where students crafted imaginative and decorative moustaches of their own. This allowed everyone to get involved, whether or not they could physically grow facial hair, ensuring inclusivity and encouraging a shared sense of community spirit.
The atmosphere throughout the event was positive and supportive, as students, staff, and friends joined together to raise awareness, express solidarity, and foster a welcoming environment for conversations around mental health. Prizes were awarded to standout participants, and we offer our warmest congratulations to all entrants and winners for their enthusiasm and creativity.
There is still time to support the cause further. Staff at Peterborough continue their fundraising efforts, and donations are greatly appreciated as we work together to promote better mental health for all.
