Peterborough College and University Centre Peterborough Celebrate Festive Theatre Success with Double-Bill Pantomime

Peterborough College and University Centre Peterborough have successfully brought festive cheer to the local community following a memorable evening of pantomime, staged at the Main Hall at Peterborough College.

The collaborative production, An Evening of Pantomime: Peter Pan & Robin Hood, showcased the talent, creativity and professionalism of Performing Arts students from both institutions, attracting a strong audience of families, friends and members of the wider community. 

The evening opened with Peter Pan, performed by Level 3 Performing Arts students from Peterborough College. The classic tale was brought to life through energetic performances, engaging choreography and a vibrant ensemble, transporting audiences to Neverland and setting the tone for an entertaining night of traditional pantomime. 

The second half of the programme featured Robin Hood, performed by Level 4 students from University Centre Peterborough. Their confident delivery, strong characterisation and comic timing captivated the audience, demonstrating the high standard of performance developed through higher-education study in the creative arts. 

The event highlighted the close partnership between Peterborough College and University Centre Peterborough, illustrating clear progression routes for students pursuing careers in performing arts. By sharing the stage, students demonstrated the development of skills from further education through to higher education within Inspire Education Group.

In addition to celebrating student achievement, the production also supported a charitable cause. 50% of evening ticket sales were donated to Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity, reinforcing both institutions’ commitment to giving back to the community and to supporting children and young people beyond the classroom.
