Football Academy Students Gain Exclusive Insight with Premier League Winner at Old Trafford.
Students from our Football Academy course enjoyed an exceptional opportunity this week during an educational visit to Manchester.
As part of our commitment to providing real-world industry-focused experiences, learners met former Premier League title winner and retired professional footballer Danny Simpson, gaining first-hand insight into the mindset, discipline and dedication required to succeed at the highest level.
Following their discussion with Danny, students attended the FA Youth Cup fixture between Manchester United U18s and Peterborough United U18s at Old Trafford. For some, this was their first time inside a stadium with such a celebrated sporting history, offering an inspiring setting to see emerging talent in action and understand the pathways available within elite football.
Amaar Qadeer, Sports Lecturer, said, “Our students were able to immerse themselves in a professional sporting environment that many of them hope to work in in the future. Meeting Premier League winner Danny Simpson was an invaluable experience that left them inspired and motivated.”
This visit reflects the close professional connections embedded within our Sports curriculum. Through industry visits, guest speakers and links with professional clubs, our learners benefit from experiences that broaden their ambitions, enhance their understanding of the sector and support their progression into further study, coaching, sports science and performance-related careers.
