Beauty Therapy Students Gain Competitive Edge with Industry-Leading Dermalogica Qualification
Three Beauty Therapy students have boosted their career prospects by completing an optional, specialist qualification alongside their mainstream studies.
Madara Alpa, Chloe All and Gemma Broderick have received their certificates after successfully completing Continuing Professional Development (CPD) with Dermalogica. This additional training, while optional, provides a prestigious credential that complements their curriculum unit on Facials, allowing students to master the world-renowned skincare brand at their own pace.
Beauty Lecturer, Anna Gundel, said, “Since our students don’t currently participate in traditional work experience, these work-related learning hours are vital. They allow students to build a competitive CV while fostering personal growth. Much like the 30 hours of CPD we complete as lecturers, this partnership gives students access to diverse, industry-aligned training.”
Achieving this extra qualification demonstrates a high level of commitment that goes beyond the standard curriculum.
Chloe All, Beauty Therapy student, said: “Adding a global brand like Dermalogica to my CV is a massive step forward. From learning advanced product use to adapting services for disabilities, this course has helped me grow. It feels amazing to be recognised for this achievement”
Holding a Dermalogica certification, in addition to a Level 3 Diploma, opens significant doors, offering enhanced employment opportunities within Dermalogica’s partner accounts or with the brand itself.
Alison Poulter, from Dermologica, said “We are proud to partner with Peterborough College to support Level 3 Beauty students through our Aspire programme. This additional qualification provides industry-led experience that goes beyond their regulated studies. I am delighted that two students have already achieved their Aspire Excellence Award, giving them a competitive edge as they transition from college into their professional careers.”
The partnership also includes an exclusive incentive for top performers; two students can be nominated for their exceptional achievement, granting them the opportunity to undertake further advanced training at Dermalogica’s UK Head Office upon completion of their diploma.
