Award-Winning Production Brings ‘Chaos’ to Peterborough College
Peterborough College was proud to host The Chaos That Has Been and Will No Doubt Return, an award-winning production from Chalk Line Theatre, brought to the city by Jumped Up Theatre as part of its national tour.
As part of the visit, creative students from across the College had the unique opportunity to take part in exclusive drama and performance workshops led by Jumped Up Theatre. These interactive sessions offered students a valuable insight into professional theatre-making, exploring themes of storytelling, performance technique, and the creative process behind contemporary productions.
Following the workshops, students were treated to a free matinee performance of the show, gaining first-hand experience of professional theatre in action. This was followed by exclusive Q&A session with the cast and creative team — a first for this production. This post-show discussion allowed students to ask questions about the story, its themes, and the company’s approach to creating award-winning theatre, offering a rare and inspiring behind-the-scenes perspective.
In the evening, Peterborough College opened its doors to the wider community, hosting a public performance that welcomed theatre-goers from across the city. The event formed part of the College’s ongoing commitment to supporting the arts in Peterborough and creating opportunities for students and residents alike to engage with live performance.
Brought to Peterborough by Jumped Up Theatre, The Chaos That Has Been and Will No Doubt Return has been celebrated nationwide for its innovative storytelling, energy, and raw portrayal of life in modern Britain.
This collaboration provided an inspiring experience for students, highlighting the power of the arts to connect, challenge, and inspire both performers and audiences.
