Food allergies can be life threatening, so it’s important that food is labelled and handled correctly to keep people with allergies safe.
Local authorities are responsible for enforcing allergen information regulations, but businesses need to ensure that all staff have up-to-date allergy training. This food allergy course will give you an understanding of allergens, the causes, and how to deal with reactions.

You can apply for a Distance Learning course at any time. Once you have completed the online initial assessment, the Distance Learning team will enrol you onto our learning platform and you will be able to start straight away.
In order to meet the deadlines for each assessment, you should plan to spend at least 4-6 hours a week studying on your course.
Distance Learning courses can be studied from home, work, or any location you wish. They are designed for independent study, and you do not have to attend any sessions. However, your assigned assessors and the Distance Learning team will provide you with support and guidance throughout your course.
