This course is for Lead Adult Care workers who help adults with care and support needs to achieves their goals and live as independently as possible, enabling them to have control and choice in their lives which is at the heart of the person-centred care.
Job roles are varied and determined by and relevant to the type of services being provided and the person supported. Lead Adult care workers may work in residential or nursing homes, domiciliary, day care centres, a person’s own home or a clinical healthcare setting. They will have responsibility for providing supervision, frontline leadership, guidance and direction for others working autonomously, exercising judgement and accountability.
Students can progress to:
- Level 4 Diploma in Adult Care or Lead Practitioner in Adult Care.
