What is covered?
This course covers the key knowledge and skills needed to achieve GCSE qualifications in English, Maths, and Science. In English, students will develop their reading, writing, and spoken communication skills, learning how to analyse texts, write for different purposes, and express ideas clearly. In Maths, learners will build confidence in numeracy, including number operations, algebra, geometry, and problem-solving, with a focus on applying maths to real-life situations. In Science, students will study fundamental concepts across biology, chemistry, and physics, developing an understanding of how science explains the world around us through both theory and practical investigation.
Alongside these subjects, the course also supports the development of study skills, revision techniques, and exam preparation, helping students to succeed and progress to further education or employment.

Grade 3 in GCSE Science, GCSE Maths and GCSE English Language
Face-to-face classroom delivery three full days a week.
GCSE English and Maths are assessed primarily through final exams, with regular practice papers and mock exams throughout the course to prepare students.
GCSE Science is assessed through written exams at the end of the course, alongside practical investigations that develop scientific skills.
There are no compulsory additional costs for this course; all essential materials and resources are provided. However, students may wish to purchase optional items such as stationery or revision guides to support their studies. Throughout the year, there may also be opportunities to take part in educational trips and visits relevant to the course, which can enhance learning and provide real-world context.
Although no prior work experience is required, learners will engage in work-related learning activities during the course.

Full-time courses are fully funded for 16 to 18-year-olds. For age 19+, various funding options are available.
