Creative Media Production (TV/Film/Audio)

On successful completion of this course you could progress onto university to specialise in your chosen area of Creative Media Production such as Film Production, or into employment/ freelance work as a videographer, audio technician, digital marketing assistant etc. More and more companies are looking for young people to teach them the latest technology and social media skills, so there is definitely a demand for those who complete this qualification.

If you would like a career in video or audio production, this two year course will provide you with the specialist skills needed in industry. Taught at the Media and Journalism Centre, you will get access to industry standard facilities and software, including our TV Studio and Gallery and Radio/ Podcast Rooms. The course is also broad enough to cover other creative skills in scriptwriting, presenting, digital marketing etc.

You will cover a wide range of topics within Creative Media Production on this course including:

The course will also involve multiple work experience opportunities, including working for real-life clients and producing video and audio content, as well as promotional materials such as TikTok content. You will use our specialist studios to learn how to shoot and record professional content, including our TV Studio & Gallery and Radio/Podcast Rooms.

You will also learn how to use the Adobe suite, used in industry. This includes the likes of Adobe Audition, Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Photoshop.
