What can this course lead to?

You may be able to progress onto Level 1 Health and Social Care if you achieve the Entry Level 3 Functional Skills in English alongside the course.

Do you feel you have always had an interest in caring for people, or want a career where you can make a difference? Then why not consider a career in care.

This course will provide you with a basic understanding of both the health and social care and childcare industry, as well as providing you with the right skills for employment.

What is covered?

This course will provide you with a great introduction to the industry and covers a number of areas which will provide you with a good foundation of knowledge to progress further.

You will learn about:

  • Healthy eating
  • Communication skills
  • Online learning
  • Equality
  • Job roles within the industry
  • Principles and values of health and social care.

You will also be required to carry out mandatory work placements and be required to complete English and maths within the study programme.
