Parcs Restaurant runners up in College Restaurants Awards

Our on-site restaurant, Parcs, joined fifteen other college restaurants from up and down the country to find out they finished runners up in the College Restaurant of the Year awards, held in London.

College learners and staff attended a judging day in London where entries were judged on how the award would benefit the community, students and the uniqueness of Parcs to other college’s restaurants.

Parcs Restaurant along with two other college restaurants were nominated as the top three in the country which led Parcs into the final heat in London.

The final was held at Grosvenor House and the ceremony was put on by the AA Hospitality Awards. Parcs Restaurant was awarded the runners up accolade and narrowly missed out on top spot which was titled College Restaurant of the Year.

Cheryl Hopkins Faculty Manager, Service Industries said “The students and staff in Parcs take such pride how they run the restaurant which is true inspiration to the college”.

The 90 seater training restaurant, which is open to the public during the academic term for lunch from Tuesday-Thursday and on fine dining on Thursday evenings, equips catering and hospitality students with the industry knowledge and skills required for a successful career, under supervision from experienced staff. With all of the preparation, cooking and service organised and executed by the students.
