Successful completion of this course accrues UCAS points and a number of major UK universities accept T Levels. Please see points achieved by grades below.

This technical qualification focuses on the development of knowledge and skills needed for working in the on-site construction industry, which will prepare you to enter the industry through employment or as an Apprentice.

Who is it for?

The qualification will help you gain an understanding of the on-site construction industry and the sector and you will cover topics such as: Health and Safety, construction science principles design principles, building technology, setting out, digital technologies, construction and the built environment, and sustainability in the construction industry.

This course offers you an attractive alternative to A Levels and apprenticeships. An industry-based work placement is required to run alongside your course,and will further reinforce your newly learned skills and offer a true insight into the science industry.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

4 GCSEs at Grade 4/C or above, including English Language and Maths or Functional Skills in both English and Maths at Level 2.

Students who have completed a level 2 Diploma in Carpentry will be considered for this T level if
they have achieved Maths and English to Grade 4/C.

If you don’t meet these requirements but want to start on your chosen career path, entry requirements for Foundation Programmes are slightly lower. You will need a minimum grade of 3/D in English (language) and a Grade 4/C in maths, plus two other GCSEs at grade 3/D or
above.
