Do you enjoy preparing, cooking meals and delivering great customer service?
Are you loking to start a career in the hospitality industry or progress your CPD?

To work in hospitality you will need to have a willingness to learn and a passion for table presentation. You will need to be creative and have a good attention to detail, as well as an approachable manner with both customers and colleagues.

Anyone living in England, over 16 and not in full–time education can apply.

Interview Skills Assessment

All candidates will be invited to a pre interview and initial assessments in English and Maths with the Apprenticeship Recruitment Officers.

What will I need

Level 2: Entry requirements of GCSEs at grade D/3 and above including English and Maths. A suitable supportive employer who will guide you through your Apprenticeship. Vacancies are advertised on our website ––vacancies/

What is covered

On this course you will cover the skills,
knowledge and behaviour required for one of the
following patheways:
•Food Production: Preparing cold and hot food
•Food and Bevarage Service: Dispensing of hot drinks,food storage, holding and serving food
•Alcoholic Bevarage Service: Serving drinks, table service and preparing bar areas.
•Skills covered in all patheways include: Maintenance of a safe, hygienic and secure working environment, team work and team leading and resource control
•Preparation for Independent End Point Assessment

Apprentices are expected to attend college 1 day a week as part of 20% off–the–job training. Additional off–the–job training hours are expected to be completed within the workplace.

How is the course assessed

Coursework and practical observations including and End Point Assessment.

What can this course lead to

With all Apprenticeships you can progress onto a higher level of education, stay in employment or earn promotion. This career path can lead to travel around the world.

Reality check!
As an Apprentice you will work an average of 30 hours a week including evenings and weekends. Shifts can be long depending on the business need and seasonal needs. You will be working in a hot environment and will spend the majority of time on your feet and should enjoy working as part of a team.

An employed status Apprentice will:
• Earn a wage – the national minimum wage for Apprentices is £3.90 an hour for under 19 year old or over 19s in their first year of Apprenticeship although many of our Apprentices earn more than this
• Get paid holidays
• Receive training
