Who is it for
This qualification is vital in many professions and career paths and is often regarded as a prerequisite for many other courses. The course explores a range of mathematical topics such as statistics, arithmetic, algebra and geometry. The course will develop a range of mathematical skills which are highly valued by employers.
Interview Skills Assessment
You will be invited in for an assessment where you will also need to bring along your certificates as evidence of your qualifications.
What will I need
You will need GCSE maths grade D or 3, or functional skills numeracy at 2. Or an equivalent level from another country confirmed by UK Naric.
You will need to list all qualifications obtained on your application and then provide your certificates to confirm the above as evidence when you are assessed.

Are there any additional costs
GCSE Maths will be free for 19+ learners who have not achieved a grade C or above.
Eligibility will be reviewed upon receipt of application – prior grade achievement and/or a brief assessment activity may be used to determine suitability for a place on the course. Please contact our information centre on 0345 8728722 for further details.
You may be required to purchase relevant course textbooks as directed by our tutors. It may be possible to enter for the Higher tier GCSE Maths qualification – please discuss with a course tutor.
