Who is it for
This course is for practicing middle–managers or aspiring middle–managers who wish to develop their core leadership and management skills and practices in subjects such as leadership and management styles, marketing, project management, recruitment and selection, and developing yourself and others.
This qualification focuses on the personal development of the individual, learner management capabilities and competencies.
Interview Skills Assessment
An informal interview is required with the tutor before joining this course to make sure it is right for you.
What will I need
As the course builds on your management expertise, you will need previous experience within a supervisory position/middle management. You will need to have achieved a Level 3 qualification, ideally in a business related subject.
Learners will need to study outside of course hours as assessments are set.

The aim of the course is to provide general management development for first–line managers. Topics may be subject to change.

Assessments are work–based wherever practical, and include:
• College marked work based assignments/case studies

• Externally marked assignment

This course can lead to more advanced management qualifications such as BSc (Hons) Business Management or other professional business qualifications.
