Who is it for
This course is designed to give practising and potential leaders and managers the foundation for their formal leadership and management development. The course content covers a number of leadership and management subjects including managing change, problem solving, managing people and resources.
Interview Skills Assessment
An informal interview is required with the tutor before joining this course.
What will I need
You should normally be a practising or aspiring leader or manager. You will need 4 GCSEs at grade C or above including maths and English or equivalent.
Learners will need to study outside of course hours as assessments are set.
What is covered
A study of good business practise to provide the knowledge and understanding to operate effectively as a First Line Manager. Project development sessions will be included at appropriate times. A minimum of 7hrs tutorial guidance for personal development and assessments. This will be available every week on course days throughout the course, or on other days by mutual agreement. What can this course lead to
This course can lead on to a number of higher level management qualifications such as the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) Diploma in Management and Leadership or a BSc (Hons) Business Management.
