This course is for learners working at any level
Who is it for
This personalised study programme is aimed at people aged 16–24 with an Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP) who would like to get a job. The Internships are unpaid and last for 6–12 months. During this time a job coach will come to work with you and support you in the workplace until you feel confident working independently. You will spend 1 to 2 days a week at college and 2 to 3 days per week at work. This course is full–time and runs throughout the year; holidays will have to be booked with your employer.

There are no entry requirements for this course.
What is covered
During this course our supported employment advisors will spend time with and learn about your interest, this will help them decide what kind of work would be best for you and your skills. You will spend some time at college completing your English and maths qualifications as well as any other qualifications needed to help you get into employment.
You will be supported by a job coach throughout the duration of the course who will also support you within the workplace, until you feel ready to go to work on your own. You will learn lots of new skills which will also help you find paid employment at the end of the course.
There are many benefits to studying this course including developing you independence and travelling independently, improving your confidence and meeting new people. This course will also look great on your CV.
What can this course lead to
Our main goal is to help you to gain paid employment. We will also help you to create and build on your CV, practice interview skills, and increase your independence.
