Who is it for
Students who have an interest in graphic design as a creative art–based subject as well as a desire to work with computer based professional design packages.
Interview Skills Assessment
You will be required to attend a Welcome Event, details will be provided upon application. You may be asked to attend a second interview to show portfolio work.
What will I need
4 GCSEs at grade C/4 or above. One of these should be either art or a creative based subject. Or a level 2 qualification at Merit grade in an art based subject. You must also have achieved a grade C/4 or above in English and/or maths. A portfolio of work will need to be brought to the interview.

How is the course assessed
This course is assessed through portfolio/coursework submissions and project briefs. Students will be able to achieve a pass, merit or distinction grades.
What can this course lead to
Employment in the art and design industry or progression on to further study. There are some very successful degree programmes in the fields of graphic design.
Are there any additional costs
Additional costs to include a £10 refundable deposit for an A1 portfolio locker and standard locker. Supplying your own art kit and costs for trips to galleries and museums.
