Who is it for
This course covers industrial, commercial and domestic electrical installations and is ideal if you are interested in a career as an electrician. You will spend a large amount of time in a simulated working environment and will need to be physically fit and not afraid of working at heights.
This is a nationally recognised qualification for the electrical industry and could assist in gaining employment.
Interview Skills Assessment
You will be required to attend a Welcome Event, details will be provided upon application.
What will I need
You will need 4 GCSEs at grade D/3 or above in maths, English and science or successful completion of the Level 1 Electrical Installations course.
What is covered
The course covers a number of the practical skills you will need to start your career in the electrical industry. These include:
•Using and communicating technical information
•Wiring and testing electrical circuits
•Installing electrical wiring support systems
How is the course assessed
The course is assessed through a portfolio of evidence, practical assessment tasks undertaken in the workshop and online assessment.
What can this course lead to
Successful completion of this course as well as achieving GCSE English and maths at grade C/4 will enable you to progress on to the Level 3 Electrical Installations course, or work in the electrical industry under supervision.

You will be required to purchase your own safety equipment (boots and overalls) prior to starting the course. Details on where to purchase these will be given to you.
