Current Job Vacancies
All our job vacancies are now advertised via the on-line process which can be accessed by the following link: http://www.peterborough.ac.uk/recruit/Recruitment/
You can search by job type, location or keywords within the role. To view the job description/person specification please click on the link above the advert text. To apply for the role click the ‘Apply for this Vacancy’ button. This will open a log in page; if this is the first time you use the on-line system, you will need to register your details and create a password for your account. Please make a note of the password for future reference as you will need this to apply for roles in the college. You will then be directed to the application page. Please complete the online form as fully as possible to ensure that we have the relevant details in relation to you and about your skills.
In the same way that your traditional application form is held confidentially, all electronic details will be held confidentially and only viewed by those who will be involved in the recruitment process. You will not be required to complete a further application form should you be successful, and all data provided will form the basis of your electronic employee file.
How we recruit We operate a full equal opportunities recruitment process, but it might be slightly different to other colleges or companies. We believe our system makes it easier for people to apply for vacancies and also makes use of technology to speed up the process for applying. Equal Opportunities is fully embedded into our recruitment and selection process.
Letting people know
We advertise each vacancy with a job description which incorporates the person specification using our on-line process.
Additionally we will advertise by email to internal staff on our notice boards and occasionally in the newspapers/other external job websites such as FE Jobs and Monster. We sometimes mailshot to local community centres, advising people to send us their applications. We also attend recruitment fairs and marketing events to let people know our system.
Equal opportunities monitoring
The application form and on-line application process incorporates an equal opportunities monitoring page. This information is very important to us as it gives an indication of whether we are reaching all areas of the community. This information is stored separately from your application and is not used for short listing or final selection. Please complete the form we send to you as it helps us improve our service to you as candidates.
Applying for a job
If you see a job that you are interested in, please complete an application form which you can download here or apply on-line (where applicable). If you cannot download the application form, you can call us to request it to be emailed or posted to you. We can accept CVs with a covering letter, but there is a requirement to complete the application form before your application is considered complete.
Before sending us your details, you should read the job description and person specification, particularly the short-listing criteria, and ensure that you can match our requirements.
Where To Send Your application form
Email your application form to hr@Peterborough.ac.uk or send it to us in the post at: Human Resources Room 78 Peterborough Regional College Park Crescent Peterborough PE1 4DZ
