Students shoot and score for Red Nose Day

Students at Peterborough Regional College organised a football tournament with the support of the Youth Work Team to raise money for Red Nose Day.
The five aside tournament took place this week in the College’s sports hall to raise money in time for Friday’s Red Nose Day. Over 40 students took part in a set of friendly football matches and raised over £40.
Students came up with the idea as they wanted to contribute to this fantastic charity and help raise money towards changing people’s lives across the UK, Africa and some of the world’s poorest countries.
Red nose day is a nationwide fundraising event organised by Comic Relief and has to date raised over half a billion pounds. Schools, college’s, offices and homes over the country all unite and take part in raising money in a fun and light hearted fashion to try and make a difference to thousands of lives across the world.
Nick Crippa, Youth Work Team Manager says:
“It was a great event which was thoroughly enjoyed by all. I am thrilled with the students support for Red nose Day. ”
