College gets better and better!
Peterborough Regional College has been given a vote of confidence from Ofsted Inspectors after being awarded the strongest improvement classification following a recent visit last month.
Inspectors praised the College for the ‘significant progress’ towards its key targets and singled out a number of areas, including:
- Success rates and overall trend of improvement
- Success rates improving rapidly for all ages and at all levels
- Further improvement in the effectiveness of student support
- Equality & diversity significant improvement
Don Lawson, Principal at PRC, said “I am very pleased with the report and it confirms my view that PRC continues to go from strength to strength. This classification is an excellent profile for the College and is evidence of our commitment to providing top quality training and education to young people and adults across Greater Peterborough”.
He added “The improvements that we have made are very significant and I’d like to take this opportunity to thank the management team, particularly my Deputy Principal Angela Joyce, and all the staff and governors for their dedication and hard work, especially during this busy time”.
As part of the Inspection process, Inspectors also spoke to a number of employees at the College and praised the staff and students for making them feel so welcome during their monitoring visit.
