Guest Chefs cook up a treat for Peterborough Regional College

Top chefs from Peterborough cooked up a feast for the public at the exclusive Guest Chef Evening in Parcs Restaurant last night at Peterborough Regional College.
The Guest Chef Evening is a unique annual event organised by staff and students in Parcs Restaurant to increase industrial links in the community and to also offer students the opportunity to work with different chef’s from a variety organisations.
Head chefs from Wadenhoe House, East of England Showground, Marriott Hotel and The Orton Hall composed a menu consisting of four fabulous courses to wow the public.
Greg Pryce head chef at the East of England Showground started the evening with home-made, slow-baked goats’ cheese and red onion tart served with English pepper chutney and a warm seasonal dressing, followed by salmon tata accompanied by crème fresh, cooked by Keith Smee, head chef at Wadenhoe House. James Vawser of The Marriott Hotel impressed guests with his corn-fed chicken glazed with Welsh rarebit. The evening was brought to a close with a variety of tantalizing bedtime desserts cooked and prepared by Kevin Wood of Orton Hall Hotel.

“We have strong links with local catering experts and are
delighted to have had Kevin, Keith, Greg and James take part in
Guest Chef 2009. The evening was very successful, guests students
and staff were impressed by the chefs incredible talents. Students
also benefited from guidance and tips provided by these industry
specialists.”
A raffle also took place at the evening , prizes were donated
by hospitality and catering suppliers as well as The Marriott Hotel,
Wadenhoe House, Orton Hall Hotel and the East of England Showground. £100
was raised which will be donated to Sue Ryder Care – Thorpe
Hall Hospice.
