PRC Celebrates Diversity
Peterborough Regional College will be celebrating Diversity on Wednesday 20 January with a variety of fun and informative activities for both staff and students.
There will be live performances including English folk music and dance, Djemby drumming and Indian dancing. As well as street dance performed by PRC’s very own students. There will also be Henna painting and an international menu throughout the day.
Information will be available about mental health, disability awareness, unity peacemakers and HIV support services. This is the fourth year that Peterborough Regional College has held Diversity Day with the aim of addressing elements of equality and diversity agendas through the College Respect Campaign.
The day will raise awareness and understanding between different cultures, celebrate differences and similarities between people, support student and staff cohesion and promote activities and events celebrating diversity.
Mohammed Sarfraz, Learner Involvement & Diversity Advisor says:
‘We are delighted to hold this event for the fourth year running. It
has become a huge success over the recent years and covers all aspects of diversity
and promotes understanding, mutual respect and cohesion amongst students.’
