Students donate shop profits to charity
Skills for Living students from Peterborough Regional College presented a cheque for £350.00 to Christine Rusdale, Chairperson of The Rudolf Fund, outside of the College’s PRaCtically PeRfeCt shop.
The money was raised through selling donated items and crafts made by students through the shop that is manned by Skills for Living students.
The Rudolf Fund is a local charity that raises money through various events in and around Peterborough to give sick children and their families the opportunity to experience a once in a life time trip. The money donated by PRC students will contribute to these trips.
Christine Rusdale, Chairperson of The Rudolf Fund, says:
‘It is heartwarming that students with learning disabilities are
now raising money for younger children that have physical and learning disabilities
to go on a trip to Disneyland Paris.’
The students work in the college shop as part of their course and to gain experience of being in a working environment.
