Students explore elements of life

Inclusive learning students at Peterborough Regional College added light and colour to the student common room with creative pieces of artwork depicting fire, water, air, and earth.

Their amazing work is usually displayed in their classroom, but when Youth Work Team Manager, Nick Crippa spotted their work he was so impressed that he asked them to produce some more pictures for the common room.

These fantastic pieces of art were produced as part of their project work for the essential skills course, the students are also producing other pieces of art work for a final year art exhibition to be held in June.

Keeley Mills, Essential Skills Tutor says:
“The four collages were based on the four elements and explore a variety of colours and textures, the real beauty of this work is that whoever comes into the room when the work is being done has to join in so these pieces of work include the contributions of many people.  The students really enjoyed producing these pictures and the fact that they are being displayed in the common room makes me feel very proud.”
