Students flock to College Open Evening

Peterborough Regional College’s final open day of the 2008/2009 academic year proved to be a busy and successful event with hundreds of potential students dropping in to find out more about the College.

Visitors took advantage of a selection of activities and demonstrations including: live cooking and tasting sessions in the Hospitality & Catering areas, to media make up demonstrations giving visitors a fascinating insight into how professionals achieve the look.

The performing arts students carried on with their rehearsals of Twelfth Night whilst the dance students demonstrated their talents.  Students’ course work was also presented to give the new visitors an insight into their courses, from musical theatre, dance, acting and music technology.

Community Marketing Officer, Leaha Green said:

“The Open Evening was extremely busy. Most of the visitors were new to the college and were impressed with what they saw. As with previous Open Days, this year quite a few students chose to apply for courses on the night to make sure they secured their place for this September. Although this was our last formal Open Evening for this year, our Information Centre is open throughout the summer and will be able to provide customers with course information.”
