Peterborough Regional College's Sports Development Centres are managed by a team of highly qualified professionals, providing visible pathways into professional and semi-professional football and rugby.
The Development Centres are an added element onto the standard BTEC First (Level 2) or BTEC National (Level 3) in Sport. On top of the sports qualification there are 12 hours of top class football/rugby coaching and also playing as part of a team in a league.
PRC have recently announced a new partnership with Peterborough United Football Club, where students will also benefit from added guidance from POSH players and coaches. The PRC Football Development Team will also act as reserves for the POSH Youth Team, offering great progression routes into the club.
The Rugby Development Centre has had players going for trials for the England team and also playing on a regional level.
Both centres are going from strength to strength and with the support from the tutors, the programmes can lead onto playing as a profession or to university.
