The disability symbol is made up of two ticks and the words 'positive about disabled people'. The symbol is awarded by Jobcentre Plus (a UK Government agency) to employers in England, Scotland and Wales who have made commitments to employ, keep and develop the abilities of disabled staff. You will see the symbol displayed on our job adverts, application forms and other marketing material. We use this symbol to demonstrate that we are positive about employing disabled people and want to encourage disabled people to find out more about working with us. National Skills Academy for Manufacturing accreditation is a rigorous standard that highlights the best training practice in the sector. Only those providers that demonstrate relevant industry experience and sound teaching and learning principles are accredited.

Peterborough Regional College has won a Silver award in the prestigious RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards 2011.
The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA), a safety charity, launched its awards programme 55 years ago. The scheme looks not only at accident records, but also entrants' overarching health and safety management systems, including important practices such as strong leadership and workforce involvement.
The majority of RoSPA's awards are non-competitive, marking achievement at merit, bronze, silver and gold levels. Organisations maintaining high standards can win gold medals, president's awards and orders of distinction.

Peterborough Regional College has achieved the nationally recognised NHS You're Welcome standard which is about delivering age appropriate and responsive health information to young people and encouraging them to be involved in decision-making about their services. The criteria to meet the standard include: accessibility; publicity; confidentiality and consent; the environment; staff training, skills, attitudes and values; monitoring and evaluation involving young people; health issues for adolescents.
A panel of inspectors has reviewed a written submission from the College, interviewed staff and a group of five Young Inspectors carried out an inspection of the Wellbeing Centre. The Young Inspectors reported that the College is a good example of a fully inclusive service which met and exceeded their expectations. It is being recommended that the College is used as the best practice model for future Youíre Welcome standard inspections.
