As an Anglia Ruskin Student you are automatically a member of ARU SU but UCP is lucky enough to also have its own internal Students’ Union. UCP SU deals with all the local student issues from improving your student experience to giving you a student voice through the Student Rep System.

Here at UCP you as a student always come first and the Students’ Union is here for you. Make the most of all that’s on offer, join in at JD’s Bar and Grill, our new SU BAR, take part in social events and activities, join a club or society and have your say through our committees and Student Rep System.

Student campaigns run regularly at UCP to get you what you want; we have been very successful so far and strive to have continued success in the future. A campaign can be as a simple as wanting a specific drink in the vending machine to as important as changing your timetable to offer more effective teaching and learning.

The student voice at UCP is very strong and we actively encourage all our students to speak up about any issue they have. All our staff are very friendly and take all student comments on board and act on them.

We have a variety of clubs and societies for you to get involved in. Join in with a sports club, train regularly and compete in local and national leagues. Take part in a society and meet with like minded students, invite guest speakers and go on visits.

We have a very active social scene and have some fantastic deals with a variety of local bars. Relax with some mates, a burger and a drink in JD’s Bar and Grill, or have a night out at Edwards, Flares and Reflex with great student discounts and fantastic DJ’s, or even a heavy night at the MetLounge with alternative DJ’s and live bands!!
